Hazardous Waste Treatment or Disposal Fee
Assessed annually for all waste treated or disposed of at a permitted hazardous waste treatment or disposal facility based on the type of treatment or disposal performed.

: A fee is assessed annually for all waste treated or disposed of at a permitted hazardous waste treatment of disposal facility. The fee is assessed based on the type of treatment or disposal performed.
How the fee is used
: This fee is remitted to the State Treasurer and credited to the General Fund.

What it is
: The fee for an
initial application
for a chemigation permit or special permit is $30, payable to the appropriate natural resources district. The district transfers $5 of this fee to NDEQ. The annual fee for
renewal
of a chemigation permit or special permit is $10, payable to the appropriate natural resources district. Two dollars of the annual fee is transferred by the district to NDEQ. The application for an
emergency
permit is accompanied by a fee of $100 dollars, payable to the appropriate natural resources district. The district transfers $10 of this fee to the Department.
The application for an emergency permit is accompanied by a fee of one-hundred dollars payable to the appropriate natural resources district. The district transfers ten dollars of this fee to the Department.
How the fee is used
: NDEQ's portion of the fee is used to support the operating costs of the Department's Chemigation program.
