NDEE Presents: “Biennial Reporting for Large Quantity Generators” Webinar February 4

The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy will present a Hazardous Waste Compliance Webinar on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2020, at 11 a.m. This seminar is intended for facilities that are Large Quantity Generators (LQGs) of hazardous waste in the State of Nebraska, and will provide beneficial information for environmental professionals and others involved in hazardous waste issues regarding biennial reporting. The seminar is also open to the general public.

This is the second webinar of the 2020 series planned this year.

About the webinar: The Biennial Reporting for Large Quantity Generators webinar is targeted at industry professionals representing Large Quantity Generators (LQGs) of hazardous waste. We will cover some of the basics of LQG reporting, with emphasis on the RCRAInfo Industry Application and its interface. We will also discuss requirements and deadlines for this year’s biennial reporting for activity that occurred in 2019.

About the presenter: Erik Waiss is the Environmental Assistance Coordinator for the Waste Section in the Land Division of the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE). Waiss holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in geosciences with emphasis in geology and a Master of Science Degree in geology with emphasis in sedimentology and paleoclimate change, both from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Waiss has worked primarily in Nebraska since his graduation, working with several consulting firms since 2005. He earned his Professional Geologist License from the Nebraska State Board of Geologists in 2009. After providing environmental expertise to his clients for several years Waiss joined NDEE in 2012.
