This subpart applies to:
- Affected facilities at metallic mineral processing plants that commence construction or modification after Aug 24, 1982.
Affected facilities:
- At open-pit mines:
- Crushers;
- Screens.
- At mills or concentrators:
- Crushers;
- Screens;
- Bucket elevators;
- Conveyor belt transfer points;
- Thermal dryers;
- Product packaging stations;
- Storage bins;
- Enclosed storage areas;
- Truck loading or unloading stations;
- Railcar loading or unloading stations.
Not subject to this subpart:
- All facilities located in underground mines;
- All facilities subsequent to and including the beneficiation of uranium ore at uranium ore processing plants.
