Environmental Update Meeting Scheduled May 14 in Lincoln
April 2, 2013 – The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality has scheduled the annual Environmental Update in Lincoln on May 14, 2013 at the Towers Event Center, 6981 A Street, #111. Representatives from businesses and industries are invited to attend, ask questions, pick up new information, and provide feedback. Registration begins at 8:00 am.
The event will focus on environmental risks and various Nebraska and EPA regulations and requirements. Highlights include:
NDEQ Deputy Director Jay Ringenberg will provide NDEQ updates and news;
There will be presentations from the NDEQ Air Quality, Water Quality and Waste Management Divisions;
EPA Region 7 representatives will present information on the Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Rule, and working with your Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPCs) to reduce environmental risks at your facility;
NDEQ’s Electronic Records System and Public Information portal on the NDEQ website will be presented.
If you plan on attending, please complete the registration form, which is attached to the agenda below. There is a $20 registration fee (lunch included). Registrations should be submitted to NDEQ by April 30, 2013.
