NDEE presents 2024 Litter and Waste Grants Application Webinar
The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy Grants Section will present a 2024 Litter and Waste Reduction and Recycling Grants Application Webinar on Wednesday, July 12, at 1:30 PM. This is intended for anyone interested in learning more about each of the grant categories and who is eligible to apply. Application period runs June 28 through Aug. 9, 2023. No registration is necessary.

About the webinar: The 2024 Litter and Waste Reduction and Recycling Grants Application Webinar will assist new applicants on the application process and also serve as a refresher to those who have received a grant in the past. Eligible grant projects include, but are not limited to:
• Food and yard waste composting
• Electronic and pharmaceutical collection events
• School chemical cleanouts
• Deconstruction of abandoned buildings owned by a city/county (available to cities of the first class, cities of the second class, villages, and counties of five thousand or fewer population)
• Public Education to promote recycling and litter reduction awareness
• Scrap tire grants with a 50% reimbursement of crumb rubber for rubber modified asphalt, manufacturing, landscaping, or playground mulch
• Scrap tire grants with a 25% reimbursement of mats or tiles for playgrounds, poured-in-place playground surfaces, athletic tracks, and artificial turf football, soccer, and baseball fields
