NOTICE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) proposes to issue a new Nebraska Pretreatment Program (NPP) permit to Skylark Meats, LLC, 4430 South 110th Street, Omaha, NE (NPP# NE0139548; SIC 2013) a processor of meats including beef, pork, some turkey, corned beef and liver. Treated process and non-process wastewater discharges through Outfall 001 and Outfall 002 to the Missouri River, segment MT1-10000 in the Missouri Tributaries River Basin, via the City of Omaha Papillion Creek Water Resource Recovery Facility. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet and other public information are available for review at NDEQ’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays. A determination to hold a hearing will be based upon factual environmental or regulatory consideration.
