The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) proposes to reissue with change National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit for the Dismal River Golf Club WWTF, 83040 Dismal River Trail, Mullen, NE (NPDES# NE0137855; SIC 7997), a privately owned 18 hole golf course resort, for the monitoring of ground water. The privately owned wastewater treatment system receives and treats domestic wastewater from the resort only. The two cell complete retention lagoon wastewater treatment system does not discharge to surface waters of the State of Nebraska. The facility is located in the Loup River Basin, sub-basin LO3. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet and other public information are available for review at NDEQ’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays.
