NOTICE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE
The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) proposes to reissue with change a Nebraska Pretreatment Program (NPP) permit for Teledyne Instruments, Inc., dba Teledyne ISCO, Inc., 4700 Superior St., Lincoln, NE. (NPP# NE0060011; SIC 3823, 3826), a manufacturer of water sampling equipment and instruments for biochemical research. Metal finishing process wastewater from manufacturing activities is discharged through Outfall 001 and Outfall 002 to Salt Creek, segment LP2-20000 of the Lower Platte River Basin via the City of Lincoln’s publically owned treatment works. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet and other public information are available for review at NDEQ’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays. A determination to hold a hearing will be based upon factual environmental or regulatory consideration.
