NOTICE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE
The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality (NDEQ) proposes to reissue without change a Nebraska Pretreatment Program (NPP) permit to Liebert Corporation, 1050 Dearborn Drive, Columbus, OH d/b/a Geist Manufacturing, 1777 Yolande Ave., Lincoln, NE (NPP# NE0138142; SIC 3542), a producer of commercial electrical surge protectors. The manufacturing involves metal stamping and finishing processes. The facility discharges metal finishing process wastewater through Outfall 001 to Salt Creek, Segment LP2-20000 in the Lower Platte River Basin via the City of Lincoln Theresa Street wastewater treatment facility. The permit would be issued for a period of up to five years and would restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet and other public information are available for review at NDEQ’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays.
