NOTICE OF PERMIT ISSUANCE
The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy (NDEE) proposes to modify the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit to Mike Settje, Owner, Mike Settje Truck Wash, 13509 Hwy 91, Leigh, NE (NPDES# NE0138550; SIC 7542). The facility cleans and washes agricultural trucks. Outfalls 001 and 002 have been removed from the permit and replaced with land application requirements. Wastewater and solids are discharged through land application in the Elkhorn River Basin. The permit modification will not change the expiration date of the permit and will continue to restrict pollutant discharges to comply with the requirements of Department regulations. The draft permit, fact sheet and other public information are available for review at NDEE’s Lincoln Office (address below) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. weekdays, excluding holidays. A determination to hold a hearing will be based upon factual environmental or regulatory consideration.
