Form #: 08-036 Applications and Forms Revised: 3/17/23

The Environmental Protection Agency promulgated national emission standards for hazardous air pollutants for stationary combustion turbines on March 5, 2004. This rule will require all sources meeting the applicability requirements within this category to meet hazardous air pollutant emission standards reflecting the application of the maximum achievable control technology.

You may be subject to this subpart if you are a major source of hazardous air pollutants (HAP) and you own or operate a new or reconstructed stationary combustion turbine that has a rated peak power output equal to or greater than 1.0 megawatt. Existing turbines (those installed prior to 1/14/03) are not subject to the MACT requirements. A major source of HAP has the potential to emit 10 tons per year or more of a single HAP or 25 tons per year of combined HAPs.
