NDEE releases 2021 Annual Energy Report
The Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy has released its 2021 Annual Energy Report to the legislature.

Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy Director Jim Macy announced on Feb. 23, 2022, that the 2021 Nebraska Clean Diesel Program is awarding approximately $1.3 million in rebates to schools, refuse companies and farmers across the state to aid in the replacement of older diesel vehicles and engines

Sources of energy for Nebraska are changing. According to NDEE’s 2021 annual energy report, renewable fuel production peaked in 2019.

Do-it-yourself savings project: lower water heating temperature
Although some manufacturers set water heater thermostats at 140ºF, most households usually only require them to be set at 120ºF, which not only slows mineral buildup and corrosion in your water heater and pipes, but also improves safety.
