This Lake is Currently On Toxic Algae Health Alert!

From Neligh go 5 miles north on Highway 14 then east at sign to Pierce on road 854. Go 24 miles east then turn South on 548th Avenue, then 1.5 miles south to the boat ramp Collect sample off end of dock.


On the table below, the level to trigger a toxic algae Health Alert is 20 parts per billion for the toxin Microcystin. Health Alerts stay in effect until the level stays below 20 ppb for two consecutive weeks

In the Bacteria (E.coli) column, a single sample of 235 counts (or higher) per 100 ml is considered a higher risk for illness through ingestion.
